In May 2010, Slayer played World Painted Blood live in front of a Jimmy Kimmel audience. Slayer sounded awesome. That guitar solo, though, not so much.
About the song
World Painted Blood is the title track from Slayer’s 2009 album. It is fast and mean, with Tom Araya’s vocals at full power. It opened a lot of their sets on that tour.
Late night TV and Slayer do not mix often. Network sound guys rarely know how to mix a thrash band. Still, it was cool to see Slayer on national TV in 2010.
