Beauty Through Order is a track off Slayer’s World Painted Blood album from 2009. The original video we posted is gone, so here is the band playing it live in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2010 on the Big Four bill.
About World Painted Blood
World Painted Blood was Slayer’s tenth studio album. It turned out to be the last one with the classic lineup. Tom Araya on bass and vocals, Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman on guitar, and Dave Lombardo on drums. Hanneman passed away in 2013 and Lombardo left the band the same year.
The record sounds like a mix of all their eras. Some songs are pure Reign in Blood speed. Others are slower and heavier, like Seasons in the Abyss. Beauty Through Order sits in the middle. It is mid-tempo and creepy, with Araya telling the story of Elizabeth Báthory.
The Big Four show
The Sofia show in June 2010 put Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax on the same stage. It was filmed and broadcast to theaters around the world. Slayer’s set was short and brutal, as usual.
