Check out Van Canto, the a cappella metal band. Here they are doing Metallica’s Battery with nothing but voices and drums.
Who is Van Canto?
Van Canto is from Germany. They have several singers and a real drummer, and that is it. No guitars and no bass. The singers make the riffs with their mouths. Fans call it “rakkatakka” singing, because that is what it sounds like.
It sounds like a joke, but it works. They cover songs from Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Blind Guardian, and write their own power metal too. Their album Tribe of Force came out in 2010.
