About Twilight of the Thunder God
Twilight of the Thunder God came out in 2008. It was Amon Amarth’s seventh album and the one that made them huge. The title track tells the story of Thor’s last battle with the World Serpent. Guardians of Asgaard features Lars-Göran Petrov of Entombed.
Amon Amarth is from Sweden. Johan Hegg sings, and the band plays melodic death metal about Vikings and Norse gods. Big riffs, big beards, and huge sing-along choruses.
