Here is the video for Insane, off Obituary’s Roadrunner Records release Frozen in Time.
Obituary’s comeback
Frozen in Time came out in 2005. It was Obituary’s first album after they split in the late 90s. The Tampa band picked up right where they left off. Thick, slow, swampy death metal.
John Tardy’s vocals are still like nobody else. Part scream, part howl, and barely any real words. His brother Donald Tardy plays drums. Trevor Peres brings the big chunky riffs. Ralph Santolla handled lead guitar on this one.
Insane is short and catchy for a death metal song. The groove gets your head moving. It is a good place to start if you are new to Obituary. Then go back to Slowly We Rot and Cause of Death.
