Check out this video of HammerFall with the Swedish women’s curling team. Yes, really.
The story
Before the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, the Swedish women’s curling team picked HammerFall’s Hearts on Fire as their theme song. HammerFall made a special version of the video with the team in it. Curling stones, brooms, and power metal.
Then the team went out and won the gold medal. Maybe the song worked.
About HammerFall
HammerFall is a Swedish power metal band. Hearts on Fire comes from their 2002 album Crimson Thunder. Big choruses, twin guitars, and lyrics about warriors and steel. It is cheesy, and they know it. That is what makes them fun.
