Alright, Dumbledore dies on page 596. Now you know.
In the summer of 2005, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince came out. Within days, spoiler t-shirts showed up everywhere. The most famous one spelled out the big death and the page number.
The spoiler shirt craze
People wore these shirts to book stores and movie lines just to ruin it for everyone else. It was mean and kind of brilliant. Some fans were furious. Others thought it was the best joke of the year.
Spoiler shirts became their own thing after that. Every big movie or TV finale gets one now.
