Fellini and his mom would be proud of this video. Here is Satyricon’s official video for Mother North.
About Mother North
Mother North is from Nemesis Divina, released in 1996. It is one of the best known songs in Norwegian black metal. Satyr wrote it and Frost played drums, as on every Satyricon record.
The song is long and moves through fast blasts, cold riffs, and slow, grand parts. The lyrics are a tribute to Norway. The keyboards add a big, gloomy feel without taking over.
The video ran in a censored and an uncensored version. Either way, it became a classic of 90s black metal.
