Iced Earth dropped Dystopia in 2011, and the title track came with an official video. Here it is.
A new voice for Iced Earth
Dystopia was the first Iced Earth album with Stu Block on vocals. Block came over from Canadian band Into Eternity. He had big shoes to fill after Matt Barlow, and he pulled it off. His range covers the high screams and the low growls Jon Schaffer’s songs call for.
Schaffer is still the main writer. The riffs are tight, galloping, and heavy. The album leans on sci-fi themes. The title track and Anthem are the ones most fans remember first.
